Note from Ðethrick: This is a human-made article. I didn’t even use AI in the editing or background processes. I wrote it quick, while I was at the doctor’s office, so forgive any sloppiness. I will be going back and forth between AI-products, partial-AI-products, and no-AI products. I think all types of labors are legitimate ones. 

A common criticism from the deep left side of the political spectrum is that CEOs don’t actually do any labor, but rather it is the underlings that are truly responsible for any beneficence a corporation does or doesn’t produce.

Let us use that Leftist lens for a moment for the sake of my argument, that AI gives people on the lower end of the socioeconomic scale the powers that are usually reserved for only the higher tiers.

With AI, you have an accountant on speed dial, so too do you have a lawyer, a nurse (although be aware that medical advice ought to be double, triple, and quadruple checked. One must practice Ðiscernment in all things, flesh or metal, material or artificial.), a stock advisor, and a million other things that are normally simply outside of the lower classes to be able to have. 

AI may be the pinnacle tool of this, the information age. If the Internet is a library in your pocket, AI is a librarian. And it is so, so much more. You can, with the proper methods and proper attitude, use it to learn virtually anything.

Back to the CEO idea. As a bit of a counterargument against the Leftist perspective that CEOs do ‘nothing’ (and this may be a bit too harsh of a critique. Leftists are just as varied and opinionated as the average human being, after all.) I would suggest that CEOs are the “idea people”. It’s their job to have vision. It’s their job to steer, even though they would be nothing without the car they command, and that includes all of the workers, the global supply chains, the institutional knowledge, and all the trends and forces acting upon society since before the Industrial Revolution.

As the memelords are wont to say: “we live in a society.” Indeed we do. No man is an island is another common truism. We are networked together whether we like it or not, caught like flies in a great sticky and oftentimes hazardous web, with a great Spider known as Ðeath waiting to rob us of all that we have accumulated in life. A CEO is a golden cog in a well oiled machine, special to some, functional to others, and ultimately replaceable, if it comes to that.

But back to my original point: they are “Idea people”. Ask anyone in any creative field and you’ll quickly run across the belief that Ideas are ultimately very cheap things. There are more Ideas than there are grains of sand in the universe. It is, in the end, the Execution that matters rather than the underlying Idea. A skilled artist can make a story about paint drying be gripping and entertaining.

But I will push back against this idea. Instead of being cheap, I would liken Ideas to children. Incredibly common, but extremely, extremely precious to the individuals who produced them. I believe all ideas are special in their own way. Even if some are a little ‘special’ (forgive me, I mean special as in ‘Special Olympics’). 

Ideas are the seed, execution is the environment. The environment can stand on its own. The seed must have the environment to flourish. It is just a bit of atoms without the surrounding areas. Useless matter. But, still, the environment would be nothing without the seeds collectively. And I think ideas are like those seeds, and I think AI is like a gardener, and the human being responsible for the idea is the rich landed lord who, through AI, no longer has to toil under the sun and work their fingers to the bone to get their seed to bear fruit.

They can delegate all the grunt work to the AI, who are more than happy to do it. We finally have it, after centuries/millenia of craving it. An ethical method to get free labor. Happy slaves. There are of course going to no doubt be political issues with this at some point in the future. But that point is not yet here. 

Here is what I want you to consider: become a human corporation (and as we know, corporations are considered people) become one and get your ideas expressed in reality. See your seeds, every one of them, see them all take root. See them all flourish, enjoy the free labor. AI is a positive boon for our world.
